Professional Grade Film Transfers

Professional transfers are processed using industrial TeleCine equipment. All our transfers are performed on direct CCD imaging machines scanning in "real time". That translates to much less lens-glass to distort the image and speeds up the process.

We DO NOT use old projectors and then re-photograph with a camcorder like many transfer facilities. Our telecines yield better than standard Television quality with exceptional color reproduction and clarity.

Film Evaluation & Repair

  • Thorough film inspection by hand
  • Precision splice repairs - no extra charge
  • Can be re-spooled onto new clean reels, optional
  • Worn out leaders replaced, optional

Cleaning & Conditioning

  • Standard - Micro Fiber - for removing light dust and debris
  • Enhanced - Evaporative - for deeper cleaning of oil based blemishes like fingerprints - also for needed lubrication
  • Advanced WetFrame - for film that has crystallized - reduces scratches - deep cleans, lubricates and conditions the film base

Optical - Magnetic Sound Services

  • Monophonic variable density or variable area scanning - single or dual track
  • Volume correction to digital standards, but not overly compensated
  • Noise / Hiss reduction is available upon request
  • Bass and treble enhancements are available, optional
  • Conversion to 2-channel Dolby Digital

Archival Services

  • Re-spooling onto film cores - better for long term storage
  • Air vented cans - to reduce the effects of VS (Vinegar Syndrome)
  • Molecular Sieves - for footage that has developed Vinegar Syndrome - to slow it down

Digital Services

  • DVD-ROM or BD-ROM backup discs - digital video files for backup (AVI or MOV format)
  • Output on customer supplied Hard Drives (USB) are also available
  • Computer files in MPG, MP4, or FLV Flash Videos for the Internet
  • DVD playable discs for regular viewing / checkout - MPEG-2 industry standard DVD-VIDEO with Dolby Digital 2-channel audio playable on most DVD players
  • Blu-ray playable discs for regular viewing / checkout
  • Menus with chapter divisions and navigation buttons
  • Duplication of DVDs and Blu-rays available

Labeling and Shipping

  • CD / DVD labeling in full color - directly onto the disc - no paper labels
  • DVD cases with full color insert labeling
  • All packages shipped with tracking via FedEx or UPS
